The Loved. Initiative

The Loved. Initiative is a project started in October 2020 to help bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. Born from my own struggle with anxiety and suicidal ideation, I designed wrist cuffs that are made from faux leather and machine embroidered with encouraging messages.

The semicolon was inspired by the semicolon tattoo project, and signifies that the author chooses to use a semicolon to keep going, rather than a period to end a sentence. We are all authors of our own lives, and it is my goal to reach out and help others keep writing their stories when they want so badly to end them.

The "You are Loved." wrist cuff is simple, yet powerful. The period is key in the message on this one, because there is nothing anyone has to do or be to be loved. I truly believe that, and it's the kind of love our world so desperately needs. The Loved. Initiative was perfect for this project, because of the message this cuff spreads.

For each cuff that is purchased, one is donated to someone who is struggling. The recipient list seems to grow each day, and it has been a humbling experience to connect with people on such a personal level.

If you know of anyone who is in need, please send a message to get them on the recipient list.
